It's been a while since I have submitted something non-painted or photomanupulated, and I really felt that this image was important enough for me to do so now.
People can be misunderstood, even to themselves.
I wanted this image to convey the fight that goes on within each of us every moment between the darkness and the light, between focusing on the good, and letting ourselves go to the horrible things that COULD spring up from us when we become lax in our vigilance.

I love your work! A goal of mine is to study photography. I love the realism.
I am also a voyeur ,I suppose, for I like to watch other people and inhale all I can from a distance. Such as admiring your work-but I also must confess - that I put a spin of my own on it. I hope you are not affended -for I will stop if you feel I have imposed. I just like to "spin a dit" of my own. Whatever I read,write,or observe I hope one would do the same and reflect upon my interpretation and share. Total respect.
When the chilled, icey wind blew,
in I went,
into a world I knew nothing about,
into a space for which I could
never have prepared myself even if
I had been warned of its existence.
Down,down,down went I,
tumbling into an abyss filled
with a myriad of apparitions and phantoms
which preyed upon my unsuspecting self.
There was no room for rationality,
only chaos upon chaos upon chaos.
And I was immersed in something
deeper than a huge black hole,
from which I did not emerge
until the haze was blown away...
*everyone into the lifeboat baby,
this ship is going down.
My Mantra -absenceoftouch-
