Mother sat with me and prayed for absolution of my sins...

She said that the word of God came to her while I asked for forgiveness.

"Love is an act of blood," she said to me as I knelt, with her hand on me. "The blood that flows between us will pool in the shape of a heart... Thus says the Lord."

"I see no blood, Mother," I said, foolishly.

"You will..."

And with that, she rose...
